Simon Hill is a nutritionist, physiotherapist and podcast host, who has dedicated his career to making information regarding health, diet and nutrition accessible to the public.
Simon spent time in Texas growing up, where his dad completed his PhD in physiology. After moving back to Melbourne, Simon was spending the weekend with his dad, and witnessed him having a severe heart attack.
Simon’s reaction was an intense interest in how genetics and lifestyle choices interplay to influence overall health and longevity.
Simon began a physiotherapy degree in Melbourne, and started working in sporting environments where protein was king. It wasn’t until Simon’s vegetarian brother came to stay with him, that Simon began to understand the power of plants and how mainstream information perhaps wasn’t up to date with scientific understanding of nutrition.
Simon was inspired to complete his master’s in nutrition science, and in 2018 he began his podcast The Proof. Between his personal and podcast Instagram, Simon has accumulated over 1.2 million followers.
In 2021, Simon released his book The Proof is in the Plants, which became a #1 non-fictional bestseller in Australia.
Simon is also the Chief Health and Nutrition Officer at 38TERA which focuses on creating supplements to support a diverse gut microbiome.
