Ben Shewry is the Head Chef and owner of Attica, and he’s a pioneer of the culinary and hospitality world.
The restaurant Attica is ridiculously highly regarded. It has been awarded Australian Restaurant of the Year, as well as rated as one of World’s top 50 restaurants.
In 2015, Ben was featured on Netflix’s documentary Chef’s Table, which propelled him to fame.
During Covid, Ben launched Attica At Home to circumvent the closure of restaurants during lockdown. Attica At Home provided Melbournians something to look forward to, as well as allowing Ben to continue to pay his staff a full wage.
Ben’s creativity in the kitchen is well-known, however he is also adamant in being creative at an institutional and societal level, incorporating kindness, equality, and sustainability in all practices at Attica.
