Elizabeth Day is a writer and podcaster who celebrates the things in life that don’t exactly go to plan.
Elizabeth kicked off her career at The Sunday Telegraph, where she quickly made a name for herself by winning Young Journalist of the Year. She went on to write for Elle and The Mail on Sunday before becoming a feature writer for The Observer.
Elizabeth has also penned numerous highly acclaimed books: from psychological thrillers to historical fiction. However, it was through failure that Elizabeth found her most wide-reaching voice to date.
The idea for Elizabeth’s podcast, How to Fail with Elizabeth Day, came after a break-up three weeks shy of her 39th birthday.
According to the plan society expected her to follow, Elizabeth was failing.
The first episode of How to Fail was dropped in 2018 to widespread acclaim and has only grown in popularity.
From the success of her podcast, Elizabeth has published two books How to Fail: Everything I’ve Ever Learned From Things Going Wrong, and Failosophy: A Handbook For When Things Go Wrong, which also has an edition especially for teens.
Elizabeth’s most recent publication is, Friendaholic: Confessions of a Friendship Addict.
