Harry Garside is an Olympic medal-winning boxer and ballet dancing plumber from Lilydale, Victoria.
A Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Harry won bronze in the men’s lightweight event during the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics This marked the first time in more than three decades that an Australian had medalled in boxing at the Olympics.
In 2022, Harry donated said Bronze Medal to the Australian Sports museum at the MCG in the hopes of inspiring other young people to take up boxing.
Harry is a mental health advocate who works closely with the Reach Foundation and is also a Black Dog ambassador. He is passionate about breaking down gendered stereotypes and encouraging young people to express themselves authentically.
In 2024, he published his autobiography, The Good Fight: Boxing, Ballet and Breaking Stereotypes.
