Jamila Rizvi is an author, podcaster, sought-after keynote speaker and gender equality advocate.
Jamila is Deputy Managing Director of Future Women, an organisation which champions gender equity in Australian workplaces through professional development, advocacy & community. Jamila has previously provided advice to governments and employer organisations working towards gender equality including both the Rudd and Gillard Governments.
She is a best-selling author for adults and children, a columnist for The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald and a co-host on The Briefing podcast.
In 2025, Jamila co-authored Broken Brains with Rosie Waterland, dedicated to anyone who’s been sick, or loved someone who was.
She lives and works on Wurundjeri land in Melbourne with her husband Jeremy, son Rafi and very large puppy, Sonny.
