GUEST

Kate Reid

Kate Reid is the founder of Lune Croissanterie.

Alongside her brother and business partner Cameron, Kate operates Lune across three retail outlets in Melbourne and Brisbane that regularly have lines out the door.

Kate’s croissants are so good, they were voted by the New York Times as being the best in the world!

But surprisingly, Kate is also an aeronautical engineer who designed Formula One cars in the UK. In May 2008, Kate came back to Melbourne where she took a front-of-house position at Phillippa’s Bakery before moving into a baking role at her local coffee shop.

During this time, she fell in love with baking and set out on an adventure to reverse engineer the humble croissant.
