Lewis Hobba

If you have listened to triple J at all in the last 10 years, you definitely know Lewis Hobba’s voice.

Lewis is an award-winning podcaster, radio host, writer, comedian and new dad, best known as one half of the duo Hobbba & Hing alongside Michael Hing.

He is also a former Australian Roller Hockey player and has the Key to The City of Cohuna, Victoria.

Lewis got his start in TV on ABC’s Hungry Beast and has written and directed TV for The Comedy Channel, Network Ten and the ABC (including Playschool). Lewis has also appeared on shows such as Spicks and Specks, The Feed, Gruen Transfer and The Chaser’s Media Circus.

Lewis was a regular on Triple J Drive from 2015 to 2020 alongside Veronica Milsom where the pair were nominated for an ARIA award for Best Comedy Release.

He continued to host the drive slot with Michael Hing until August 2023 when they duo both left Triple J. The duo continues to host a weekly self-produced simply titled The Hobba and Hing Podcast.

He also co-hosts the political comedy podcast A Rational Fear as well as the Silver Bullet with Michael Hing.
