Michelle Braiser is a Melbourne-based singer, writer, actor, director and comedian.
She is the co-creator of award-winning comedy duo Double Denim with Laura Frew.
The duo was nominated for the Golden Gibbo award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2017 and again in 2018, ultimately wining the Director’s Choice award for Double Denim Adventure Show at Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Michelle has also become a long-time collaborator and core cast member of sketch group Aunty Donna.
In 2021, Michelle’s stand-up show, Average Bear, shed light on her personal experience living in the shadows of a heredity illness which claimed the lives of her dad and brother.
The history of cancer in Brasier’s family means Michelle has a 97 per cent chance of developing cancer too, but she uses this to reminded audiences that life is too short to be serious.
