One of Australia’s top comedians, Nazeem Hussain is probably best known as the creator and star of his SBS TV show Legally Brown.
Nazeem has won the Best Newcomer Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and has twice been nominated for the Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer.
Before becoming a full-time comedian, Hussain worked as a tax consultant at PwC. Between 2009 and 2011 Hussain did graveyard radio shifts from 1am to 6am at Triple J before clocking into PwC and performing live comedy shows after work.
Throughout his life, Nazeem has also been a director, volunteer, executive and treasurer of the Islamic Council of Victoria. He is also an outreach youth worker, and is a patron of RISE: Refugees, Survivors and Ex-Detainees.
In September 2010, he received the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Ambassador Award by the Governor and Premier of Victoria.
