Pat Cummins

They say that by the time he retires, Pat Cummins could be one of Australia’s most successful cricket captains. And if 2023 is anything to go by, “they” might be right.

Pat is an Australian international cricketer who captains the Australia men’s national cricket team in Test and One Day International cricket. He is also the current captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2024 Indian Premier League.

He made his Test debut at 18 but had to wait six years for his next appearance due to injury. By 2017, he returned as a powerhouse bowler, quickly recognised as a standout player.

In 2023 alone, Pat captained his team to win The One Day International World Cup, The ICC World Test Championship and retain The Ashes.

Individually, he was not only named The ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year, but also signed a record-breaking contract to play in India in the Indian Premier League in 2024.

Pat is widely regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers of his generation.
